Energy Sense Program

 

JUMP RIVER ELECTRIC MEMBERS ONLY

Below you will find a detailed list of the Energy Sense programs and incentives offered by Jump River Electric Cooperative (JREC).  If you have any questions, please call the office.  For a printable rebate form, please click here. Contact information is listed at the end of this page.

Energy Star Appliances

  • Available Appliance Incentives:
    • Dehumidifier - $25
    • Refrigerator - $100
    • Room A/C - $25
    • Dishwasher - $50
    • Clothes Washer - $100
  • Provide a copy of the receipt and Energy guide that shows it is an Energy Star
  • Appliance Recycling Incentives: (Must be in working order when recycled)
    • Freezer - $25
    • Refrigerator - $25
    • Window A/C - $25

Lighting Incentives

  • LED: $2 per bulb
  • CFL: $1 per bulb
  • Need a copy of receipt showing date of purchase, quantity and wattage
  • T-8 & T-5 fixtures, ceramic metal halide fixtures, high-pressure sodium fixture (retrofit only), and Occupancy sensors (new or retrofit application): call Jessica for more information.

LED Holiday Light incentive

  • $3 per string of 25 LED lights, 12 strings maximum incentive ($36)
  • Provide original receipt (purchase date September 1 – December 15, 2012) and UPC code, in order to get the rebate.

Conservation Incentives

  • Flow Restrictors – Faucet $1.00 per unit
  • Flow Restrictors – Shower $5.00 per unit
  • Energy Saving Power Strip/Smart Strip - $5.00 per unit

Custom Rebates

  • Call for qualifications: Agricultural/Commercial & Industrial

Central A/C Incentive

  • $40 per ton, must be SEER 14
  • $60 per ton, must be SEER 15
  • $80 per ton, must be SEER >/= 16
  • Need a copy of receipt indicating size, SEER rating, model and serial numbers

Ground Source Heat Pump (Geothermal) Incentive

  • Paid to member at $200 per ton of the system
  • Need a copy of the receipt and serial number of the unit

Air Source Heat Pump Incentive

  • Paid to member at $120 per ton of the system
  • Need a copy of the receipt and serial number of the unit

Home Performance Energy Test Incentive

  • Complete a whole home performance test and JREC will rebate $150 of the paid invoice. Call for details.

Farm Equipment Rebates

  • Dairy plate cooler $500/unit, Dairy Heat Recovery $300/unit. Call for more rebates and additional details.

Renewable Energy Site Assessment Incentive

  • Incentive is $150 towards the cost of a site assessment
  • Projects must be 20 kW or less; be wind, solar, or biomass; and meet all JREC policies including PSC rule 119
  • Money will not be awarded until after a copy of the assessment is received by JREC
  • Assessment must be conducted by a certified renewable energy assessment consultant
  • After completion, the member will be eligible to apply for a renewable energy project grant

Renewable Energy Grant

  • JREC may award five $2000 grants within the 12-month program, one per account.
  • Funds will not be paid until project completion and cannot exceed 50% of the project cost
  • Member must complete a renewable energy site assessment through a certified professional before applying for the grant
  • Systems must be less than 20kW and be wind, solar or biomass
  • Systems must follow all rules and regulations set forth in JREC policy and PSC rule 119
  • JREC reserves the right to award no grants if the projects do not meet the above guidelines

Energy Sense Overall Incentive Rules

  • All incentives are available on products purchased and work performed from January 1, 2012 until December 31, 2012
  • JREC reserves the right to terminate all or part of this program at any time
  • JREC reserves the right to transfer allotted program budget funds between programs as needed
  • Only active electric members of JREC are eligible for these incentives
  • Incentives listed are as of January 1, 2012 and members should call JREC for updates.
