Applications are now being taken
for the Youth Leadership Congress (YLC). If
you'll be a high school sophomore or junior in the fall, this conference is for
you! The 46th Annual YLC will be held July 15-17, 2009, at UW-River Falls.
The three-day program is jammed with fun, hands-on activities and seminars led
by top-notch professionals. If you're interested in being sponsored by
JREC (all conference expenses are paid for by JREC and transportation provided

In 2008, the cooperative
gave the Rusk County Sheriff Department permission to utilize a portion of the
Ladysmith headquarters land for the K9 training program. The county and
city dogs have been able to train on a more regular basis and other counties
have also been able to take advantage of these training facilities. Here
are some photo's of the training that has taken place since then.
